Phil Bryon

Director

Phil is overseeing and directing the Forge Mill project, with the help, guidance and professional expertise of the team. He has a degree in Textile Design, specialising in weave, and currently runs a couple of creative businesses; Bryon Interiors (Interior Design) and Philip Bryon Design (bespoke silver jewellery). Phil is passionate about encouraging and showcasing local creative talent.

Andrew Bull

Architect

Andrew Bull, a Director at Marchini Curran Associates since 2022, brings over 25 years of architectural experience that spans a diverse range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on community-oriented projects and a commitment to non-profit community initiatives. His extensive portfolio includes various large-scale educational facilities, mixed-use developments, and urban regeneration schemes, illustrating his ability to integrate community needs into every aspect of the design process. Currently, he is leading efforts to enhance local development, overseeing major projects such as the KAO data and business park in Harlow, Essex.

Zac Skeates

Architect Assistant

Zac Skeates, who joined MCA in January 2025, brings five years of diverse experience in residential, commercial, and community-led architecture, with a focus on socially responsive and sustainable design. His academic background includes a Master's in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University, where he emphasised community architecture, as well as international experience gained from visits to disaster-affected regions, and professional experience at Wilson Architects, where he honed his skills in planning and project development.

Martin Cheesman

Project Manager

Martin has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and has worked as a surveyor and project manager for over 25. He is experienced in a variety of type, complexity and size of projects working on school, retail, hospital, residential, commercial and historic properties with projects ranging from less than £1m up to over £40m in value.
